Health, love and wealth

Most to-do lists are really work lists. Three areas keep the rest of your life on the page.

A week can be full and still feel empty if every item on the list is for work. The Weekly Command Center asks you to plan across three areas so the things that matter most do not get crowded out.

Health

Your body and mind: sleep, movement, food, rest and anything that keeps you able to do the rest. Good weekly health priorities are specific and repeatable: "in bed by 10:30 four nights," "three walks," "cook at home five nights."

Love

The people in your life: a partner, children, parents, friends and community. Love priorities often get the least planning and the most regret. Put them in the week like appointments: "call Mom on Wednesday," "phones away at dinner," "Saturday morning with the kids."

Wealth

Work, money and the skills that grow both. Wealth priorities include the important project at work, a step on a side business, a savings goal, or learning something that raises your earning power.

Choosing this week's three

  1. For each area, ask: what one thing would make me proud of this week?
  2. Make it small enough to finish.
  3. Write it in the priorities at the top of the planner.

If one area keeps getting skipped week after week, that is useful information. Make next week's priority in that area even smaller, and put it on Monday.

Plans that carry forward

The planner's Plans with intention section holds longer goals for each area. Those stay with you when a new week starts, so each week's priorities can be a step toward them.
